Nestled on the charming Greenwich Avenue in the heart of New York City, Rosecrans Cafe & Wine Bar offers a uniquely enchanting experience that beautifully blends the best of a cafe, coffee shop, and wine bar. This lovely spot captivates you from the moment you step inside with its lush, flower-filled décor that feels like a secret garden oasis amid Manhattan’s endless hustle.
Rosecrans Cafe is a haven for those seeking a thoughtful, soulful escape paired with exceptional tastes. Whether you’re craving a perfectly brewed coffee, a refreshing iced tea on a hot day, or a glass of carefully curated wine, this place serves up comfort and charm in every sip. The aroma of fresh coffee mingles with the subtle scent of blossoms, creating an atmosphere that is at once calming and invigorating.
The menu offers delightful bites that are as inviting as the space itself. Imagine biting into a warm, savory Prosciutto Panini where the saltiness of prosciutto harmonizes with the peppery arugula and mild mozzarella, or savoring a Mushroom Panini bursting with earthy cremini mushrooms and melted cheddar. For something light and refreshing, the Sesame Chickpea Salad offers a nutritious balance of arugula and roasted red pepper, perfect for a midday pick-me-up. Those with a sweet tooth won’t want to miss their buttery croissants, flaky blueberry Danishes, or the decadently soft Chocolate Brioche Suisse—all freshly baked treats that melt in your mouth.
But more than just the food and drinks, what truly sets Rosecrans Cafe & Wine Bar apart are the experiences shared by its visitors. Divya, a regular, describes it as “one of a kind” with a sweet and attentive staff who make you feel genuinely welcomed. Sabrina Waters recounts finding a cozy refuge here after a rainy day, warming up with their delightful Golden Turmeric Milk in a setting unlike any other she’s seen before. Andonia appreciates the peacefulness of sipping a perfect matcha surrounded by flowers, a small sanctuary away from the city chaos. Fran Rezende highlights the passion of the resident florist whose knowledge and love for flowers bring an added layer of magic to the place. Even Michelle Smith notes the carefully curated chill vibe, making it ideal for reading and enjoying a good drink without the distractions of laptops.
Rosecrans Cafe & Wine Bar is more than just a stop for coffee or wine—it’s a sensory retreat, a place that inspires calm and connection. It invites you to slow down, savor each flavor, and soak in the natural beauty that adorns every corner. For anyone seeking a sanctuary where quality meets comfort and nature meets nurture, this delightful gem on Greenwich Ave is an absolute must-visit.
One of a kind wine bar/coffee place. Love the ambiance. Decorated with various plants and flowers. Staff was super sweet, i had an iced tea on a hot day. Def going back
Oh boy this place is a true hidden gem! After a full day of exploring in the rain and drizzle, we stopped in for a much needed hot beverage and comfy place to chill. I had the Golden Turmeric Milk and it was delightful. The staff was so kind and very helpful and the environment, well I’ve never experienced anything quite so charming!
Beautiful setting to drink a perfect matcha surrounded by flowers. A great getaway from the busy hustle of manhattan.
This little, but cute coffee place makes you feel like in heaven. The florist lady is so knowledgeable of all the flowers, she knows all names, and you can see that she really likes what she does. The coffee is good, the food is good. I love this little coffee gem!
Very beautiful chill vibe. It's a great place to grab a good drink and read. No laptops are allowed here, but you can at their sister store ad hoc.
Absolutely most beautiful flowers for wedding and anniversary. Lovely place!!
I had a decaf cappuccino here with a friend of mine and it was really a sweet experience. Loved being able to talk to a friend while simultaneously being exposed to green plants. I had their Nutella banana bread which admittedly was super delicious. The cost of coffee is a bit higher than average coffee shops so this was an over $10 expense. But other than that, the atmosphere was beautiful, nice, calm. (Can be noisy if it’s full but still worth your time and definitely a “catching up with a friend” type of place.) Update: I still believe this is a good place to catch up with friends! However, wanted to share that I went here again to have lunch with a friend and we both grabbed the grilled cheese sandwich. We both thought it was too pricey ($10 with taxes) and that for the quality, you could find better meals elsewhere. So while I love the place for being a coffee shop, tea shop and botanical shop, it’s less of a “brunch” place. And that is okay!
A lovely coffee shop with a flower shop inside. I love that laptops aren’t allowed; it makes the space feel calm, intentional, and perfect for truly relaxing with your beverage, whether you’re with someone or on your own. The plants and flowers throughout the space make it so warm and inviting. And they have wine too! If you’re looking for a cozy, beautiful spot to unwind, this is the place.
